SaaS Company Citrix Adds ShareFile to Partners’ Arsenal
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company Citrix has added ShareFile to its partners’ arsenal. The company, whose headquarters are in Santa Clara, California, USA, bills itself as leading the transition that enables businesses and people to work better. It offers a range of products that “power business mobility through secure, mobile workspaces” and include “instant access to apps, desktops, data and communications on any device, over any network and cloud”. Citrix currently caters to around 400,000 organizations worldwide and has an income in excess of $3 billion. By making ShareFile available the company enables around 2,000 active Citrix Service Providers (CSPs) to continue to offer advanced solutions to their customers.

ShareFile allows CSPs to host their customers’ ShareFile data and address the needs of customers with specific security, compliance and data sovereignty requirements. It is available through Citrix-based Desktops-as-a-Service (DaaS) offerings, as a “standalone service”, or as a component of its partners’ offerings. It allows Citrix partners to provide their own hosted “StorageZones” and provides “industry-specific applications” that “simplify document management”. These include apps for the legal professionals that require specific document management systems such as Worldox, iManage and OpenText.

“Citrix continues to be the dominant leader in delivery of hosted apps and desktops enabled through our Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners,” explained Melanie De Vigan, the Product Manager, Digital Business Services, of cloud services provider and Citrix partner, Canopy. “Hundreds of thousands of subscribers in small and mid-sized businesses are delivering their mission critical apps every day through a scalable reference architecture developed specifically for MSPs. The latest addition to this solution is our ShareFile for Service Providers which allows MSPs to increase ARPU by creating data sharing and synchronization services along with application and desktop delivery. This integrated product offering provides a best-in-class solution for service providers looking to differentiate their offering and increase profitability.”
