SaaS Management Software Provider BetterCloud Suggests SaaS App Use Up a Third
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) management software provider BetterCloud has suggested that the use of SaaS Apps has gone up a third on 2016. BetterCloud, which has headquarters in New York, United States, was established in 2011. The company bills itself as “the first multi-SaaS management platform, enabling IT to manage and scale best-in-breed SaaS application environments”. In a report the company suggests the growth is SaaS app usage is due to the rise of the “SaaS-powered workplace.”

BetterCloud’s report – entitled “State of the SaaS-Powered Workplace” – suggests that typically companies use 16 SaaS apps, an increase of 13% on last year. 44% suggested 80% of their apps would be SaaS in 2017. 38% of companies use an average of 34 SaaS apps and 75% suggested 80% of their apps would be SaaS-based by 2020. The report goes on to suggest that the use of SaaS apps results in fewer emails, fewer meetings and improved customer satisfaction.

“Swiftly and surely, the world is shifting to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). It’s becoming the de facto delivery model for core business applications,” explained David Politis, the CEO and founder of BetterCloud on the company’s blog. “But how is SaaS transforming the way we work? Over the past six months, we surveyed 1,800+ IT professionals to get a deeper understanding of this new workplace, where SaaS applications serve as the backbone of productivity.”
