SCPanel.net Offers Web Hosting Providers a Range of New Features |

January 16, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH) – SCPanel.net has announced that the latest version of the SCPanel Shoutcast hosting control panel will offer a number of additional features. SCPanel is designed to enable web hosting providers to provide audio and video streaming, especially for Internet radio. The systems new features will include support for radio ‘Intro files’ alongside support for additional players, video streaming (NSV) support, and API support. Improvements will also include increased radio security and improvements to the layout of the system’s control panel.
"We've had a great response thus far from our existing clients introduced to the new features," suggested Alexandros Symeonidis, Head SCPanel Developer. "You can expect to see just as many new features and exciting addons with SCPanel version 1.3 in late January to early February."
Probably one of the key improvements to the latest version of the panel is intro file support which allows a sound clip (usually an advert or jingle for the radio station) to be played before a listener tunes into a live broadcast. Another key improvement is the introduction of Windows Media Player, Quicktime and Real Media Player support. Supporting these new players will allow listeners to tune into a station more easily and significantly broaden reach. |
