SCPanel Releases New Version of Shoutcast Hosting Control Panel Software
February 19, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – SCPanel (http://www.scpanel.net) has released version 1.85 of its SCPanel Shoutcast hosting control panel software. The panel offers a range of new features including “on-demand Shoutcast playback and centralized radio management” allowing “Shoutcast radio listeners to hear the songs they want to, when they want to”.
"Shoutcast radio listeners will no longer have to listen to songs they don't like," explained a SCPanel.NET representative. "Now, Shoutcast listeners can just skip to the songs they do like." The solution also eliminates the necessity for a traditional DJ. "Radio owners can upload songs, create on-demand playlists and circulate the playlists to their listeners."
Version 1.85 facilitates monitoring and management of all SCPanel installations and Shoutcast radios from an individual interface. "When you host hundreds Shoutcast radios, keeping track of everything can become difficult," said Elliot from SCPanel.NET. "Our new centralized management system simplifies that task."
Plans for SCPanel version 1.9 have already been announced and include a “skinnable interface, multi-language support and complete user documentation”.
