Dedicated Web Hosting Provider ServerPronto Sets Bandwidth Standard |
 |
February 9, 2006 (HOSTSEARCH) Dedicated web hosting provider ServerPronto has set a Bandwidth Standard with the introduction of gigabit dedicated servers. According to the company, the move will enable its customers to accommodate traffic spikes and counter malicious events such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
"ServerPronto's dedicated servers come with a standard 100 Mbps connection, which is 50 times greater than the connections found in most offices," said Chris Kurzweg, ServerProntos Chief Operating Officer. "But many of our customers tell us they need more. So we've added a gigabit port option on all of our packages. We know that distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks could come in at 100 Mbps and completely disable most dedicated servers. Our gigabit port connections allow you to withstand attacks."
The companys gigabit port option is available without contractual requirement. Companies rent the entire server giving them 100 percent of the system's resources. "As more bandwidth-intensive database-driven web sites and e-business applications characterize the marketplace, access to increased server bandwidth becomes business critical," added Mr. Kurzweg. "ServerPronto offers a flexible solution to address those bandwidth needs." |
