February 2, 2007 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Shared web hosting and colocation provider Zogmo, LLC (http://www.zogmo.com) has announced it has selected Righteous Softwares Continuous Data Protection software as its backup solution. The companys Houston, Texas datacenter facility has been issued a Righteous CDP Server site license that allows the company to offer the solution to customers who will be able to configure and install the software at no additional charge.
Continuous Data Protection presents a new and important opportunity for our customers to safeguard their data, at a level far superior to any traditional backup technology, explained Zogmos Vice President of Operations, Linn Boyd. We are excited to offer these solutions to our customers as a standard component of our Internet services. Zogmos selected Righteous Software after nearly six months of investigation and research into a range of backup solutions.
Continuous Data Protection allows backups that only copy disk sectors that have changed following previous backups, allowing backup images to be taken over one hundred times daily, meaning the amount of data lost in a disaster is significantly reduced, especially when compared to traditional backup solutions.
