April 23, 2008 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) SoftLayer (www.softlayer.com) has formed a long-term partnership with EIRCA Ltd. as the companys exclusive dedicated server provider. EIRCAs existing servers will migrate to SoftLayer facilities, where all new servers will be deployed as well. The partnership also makes EIRCA the SoftLayers preferred partner for customers deploying managed H-Sphere Clusters.
Simon ORourke, EIRCA founder and CEO, said, We searched for a data center provider that shares our philosophy towards customer service, with an infrastructure we can deliver to our customers with 100% confidence. After testing multiple providers over several years, we found SoftLayer to be the best.
Lance Crosby, SoftLayer CEO, added, EIRCA has been a great partner over the last few months. Formalizing our relationship was a natural next step.
EIRCA currently serves over 105,000 domains and has supported H-Sphere clusters for international customers since 2002. It leverages SoftLayers leading network-within-a-network topology for secure and fast data movement between H-Sphere servers residing in all of SoftLayers data centers.
H-Sphere, now owned by Parallels, is a scalable automation control panel for multi-server web hosting services and powers over approximately 1.7 million websites. "H-Sphere allows clients to create a reliable hosting infrastructure for their clients," said Kurt Daniel, senior vice president of marketing and online, Parallels. "We will continue to work with Softlayer to provide new features and product improvements for all Parallels products, including those recently acquired."
EIRCA joins the growing list of resellers, hosting companies, and managed services providers that are leveraging the world-class infrastructure that SoftLayer has invested in over the last several years. We see a tremendous opportunity, as our model of on-demand IT adds even more value to our partners core businesses, continued Mr. Crosby.
