Hostirian now offers SSAE 16 compliant web hosting packages. Formerly known as “Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16”, the standard covers controls at service organizations. It requires an auditor’s examination and covers all aspects of Hostirian‘s services, including its cold-row containment pods.
Hostirian, which was established in 2001, offers a range of services including standard website hosting, cloud and dedicated servers, and collocation. The company attaining SSAE 16 compliance was dependent on an audit by a third party which established its ability to provide quality hosting products to the market.
"Obtaining our SSAE 16 compliance shows that detailed policies and procedures for our operations and business are not only in place but tested thoroughly by an independent auditing firm," explained Hostirian’s Vice President of Operations, Ken Cox. "SSAE 16 compliance provides our customers with peace of mind that we are following repeatable, trackable procedures and shows a level of maturity to our business. We've also had customers whose partners or insurance companies are showing interest in SSAE 16 compliance".
