Storage, Server and Virtualization Solution Provider Scale Computing Announces New DRaaS Option
Storage, server and virtualization solution provider Scale Computing has announced the launch of a new Data Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) option. Scale Computing, which has headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, bills itself as offering a data center solution that “reduces operational complexity, allows a faster response to business issues, and dramatically reduces costs”. Called the ScaleCare Remote Recovery Service, the new option aims to make disaster recovery simpler and more accessible.

The service provides offsite protection for businesses based on their data center requirements. Built on the HC3 Virtualization Platform, it represents “the final layer of protection” and is offered without companies having to manage or pay for a dedicated remote disaster recovery site.

“Remote data protection is the best course of action organizations can take to alleviate the proverbial placing of all of their eggs in one basket, but hosting a site for disaster recovery purposes is often not something mid range companies are prepared to handle themselves,” explained Scale Computing’s co-founder and CEO, Jeff Ready. “With remote, continuous replication and fail over features already baked into the HC3 Virtualization Platform, launching the ScaleCare Remote Recovery Service is an ideal way for us to ensure our customers have the remote disaster recovery they need without the costs and headaches of doing it themselves”.
