Web Hosting and Domain Name Provider Go Daddy Offers .ASIA Domains
October 9, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting and domain name provider Go Daddy is offering .ASIA domains, it was reported yesterday. The company has been accredited to register the new domain by The DotAsia Organization, the registry for the new domain. Go Daddy accepts .ASIA registrations from today, the beginning of the domain’s “Sunrise Period”.
“Now is the time,” explained Go Daddy CEO and Founder, Mr. Bob Parsons. “Asia is a region with explosive online growth. We are ready and waiting to help people register the new .ASIA domain name extension.”
The sunrise period opens with applications for governmental reserved names, registered trademark holders, and registered companies who wish to purchase .ASIA domains with their company names. In February 2008 the ‘landrush’ begins with those eligible being able to buy a .ASIA domain. Where more than one application exists for the same domain, a closed auction will take place. “First-come, first-served” registrations begin March 2008.
The new .ASIA domain sits alongside 41 domain extensions offered by Go Daddy. The company also provides more than 35 web hosting products.
