Web Hosting and Domain Name Provider Go Daddy Launches Virtual Community to Benefit Business Owners

November 5, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting and domain name provider Go Daddy (http://www.godaddyconnections.com) has launched a virtual community aimed at benefiting business owners, it was announced recently. The new ‘Go Daddy Connections’ social and business networking site helps Go Daddy’s 4.6 million customers exchange information and ideas to “better leverage their business assets”.

“Small and midsize business owners have questions about running their business online and Go Daddy Connections gives them a place to interact and exchange ideas with other business owners,” explained Bob Parsons, the company’s CEO and Founder. “In today’s world, if you aren’t online, you aren’t staying competitive – for yourself or your customers.”

Go Daddy quotes research firm IDC as suggesting around 69% of small businesses have an online presence and owners are looking for ways to “get more return on investment with their online presence”. Go Daddy Connections allows users to share information to “educate themselves and others on business methods or practices”. The site also enables users promote their own businesses.

Go Daddy provides a range of web hosting and domain name services and carters for more than 24 million domain names. The company claims to have registered approximately one-third of all domain names registered in the top six generic top-level domains, or gTLDs, including .com, .net, .org, .biz, and .info.
