Web Host Go Daddy Helps Customers Create “dotTV” Sites |

June 14, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web host Go Daddy (http://www.godaddy.com) is making it easy for its customers to create “dotTV” sites, it was announced recently. “.TV” sites are predominantly sites that offer video material, and Go Daddy quotes eMarketer in presenting the popularity of such sites. According to Go Daddy, eMarketer suggests “58% of online consumers watched at least one video online in the past 12 months”.
Go Daddy suggests “the potential of .TV reaches far beyond the association with the normal abbreviation for television” and “now represents anyone who is interested in having video online” including “large corporations, video bloggers, amateur movie makers, fledgling businesses or someone who wants to show videos of their kids to family and friends”. The company offers a range of tools to develop .TV sites including WebSite Tonight and Quick BlogCast site builders.
"A dotTV differentiates your web site from other domain name extensions because it quickly tells visitors your site contains visual content," explained Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons, who uses a .TV address for his CEO video blog, www.BobParsons.tv.
