Dedicated Hosting Provider The Planet Appoints James P. Treuting
March 27, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Dedicated hosting provider The Planet (http://www.theplanet.com) has appointed James P. Treuting to the new position of Vice President of Global Sales and Managed Services, the company announced yesterday. Mr. Treuting will work under Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Douglas J. Erwin.
Mr. Treuting will be responsible for “sales strategy and development; channel and reseller management; customer service; technical support; call center operations; and professional services” and will work with Vice President of Sales, Kris Hansen, and Vice President of Customer Contact, James P. Picone.
“Jimmy Treuting brings to The Planet extensive industry experience, and a broad sales and service background, from some of the industry’s leading organizations,” explained Mr. Erwin. “At The Planet, he will lead our customer-facing operations, with the goal of setting new standards for excellence and accelerating customer satisfaction. Our goal is to provide customers with even more reasons to do business with The Planet based on their experience of world-class service, support and sales operations.”
Mr. Treuting worked for eight years for Nippon Telephone & Telegraph (NTT) and Verio and has worked in network services, global sales and broadband divisions. He was Chief Executive Officer of Internet Service Provider Communiqué, which was bought by Verio. He worked for eight years in Channel Marketing and Sales with IBM. He has a B.B.A. in business from Loyola University, New Orleans.
