Web Hosting Provider The Planet Hosts Forum on IT Compliance and Risk Management |

May 14, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider The Planet (http://www.theplanet.com) is to host a forum on IT Compliance and Risk Management, it was announced yesterday.
The company, which bills itself as “the world’s largest privately held dedicated hosting company”, will host the Houston Techxans quarterly CIO speakers’ forum (http://www.techxans.org/houston.htm) at its Houston headquarters. Entitled “IT Compliance and Risk Management: Bridging the Gap on Governance, Risk and Compliance”, the event will provide “advice and counsel” from those experienced in developing compliance frameworks for their organizations.
“Compliance continues to frame discussions inside every organization, whether publicly traded or privately held,” explained The Planet’s Vice President of Marketing and Product Management, Mr. Steve Kahan. “We use our facilities to host educational forums that benefit our community and the businesses that operate here. We welcome the Techxans organization as they work to provide thought leadership and information topical to the challenges faced today by technology companies.”
The Techxans is the largest technology executives’ network in Texas, with more than 13,000 members and chapters in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. Speakers at the event will include Craig Mullins, Corporate Technologist for Neon Enterprise Software, and Nick Ignatiev, Systems Engineer for Alert Logic. |
