William Charnock, Vice President of Technology at The Planet, to Address Microsoft Partnering Executive Summit |

July 3, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – William Charnock, Vice President of Technology at The Planet (http://www.theplanet.com/), will address the Microsoft Partnering Executive Summit, it was announced recently. The address will take place on an “invitation-only” basis on the first day of the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (Monday, July 7, 2008) at the Hilton Americas-Houston. The event is scheduled to take place until July 11, 2008. His address will be titled “Why Linux Hosters Should Care About Microsoft’s ‘Software + Services’ Platform.”
“A number of our more than 22,000 customers are Linux-based resellers, so we have a unique perspective on the hosting market,” explained Mr. Charnock. “As more enterprise-class customers migrate to hosting their IT infrastructures, we’re seeing an increased interest in Microsoft platforms, and we’ve made preparations to address this expanding opportunity.”
Mr. Charnock will speak to around 100 senior executives from Microsoft partner companies. According to a circular sent by The Planet, the Partner Conference enables attending companies to “leverage their Microsoft investment by sharing in future business opportunities, participating in hands-on training, and networking with the extended partner community.” The Planet is a bronze-level conference sponsor and will be located at Booth 1114. |
