Web Host The Planet Announces Bargain Bin Availability
October 9, 2008 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web host The Planet (http://www.theplanet.com) has announced the availability of the Planet Alpha Bargain Bin, it was reported yesterday. The Bargain Bin is a permanent addition to the companys website that provides customers with significant value for their IT infrastructure planning.
The Planet Alpha Bargain Bin features overstocked and clearance dedicated servers available from the company in a variety of configurations. Servers are selected from the Planet Alpha dedicated server and rotate based on availability, customer demand and data center space.
Planet Alpha customers can search the Bargain Bin for servers by processor and drive-controller type, hard disk space, memory capacity and price. Each server offers a full range of software options such as operating system and control panel choices, and each is backed by The Planets Service Level Agreement, support, and network and data centers.
We have more than 22,000 customers worldwide, so The Planets size and scale allow us to purchase thousands of name-brand servers at preferred discount pricing, explained General Manager for Dedicated Servers at The Planet, Urvish Vashi. Many of these servers are now available at even deeper discounted rates in the Bargain Bin, and they come from each of our six SAS 70 Type II-certified data centers. Customers still receive the world-class service and support they expect from The Planet, backed by our enterprise-class network.
