Web Host The Planet Listed in Fast Tech 50 While CEO Wins Enterprise Champion Award
November 26, 2008 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web host The Planet has been listed in the Fast Tech 50 in Houston, Texas, USA, while the companys Chairman and CEO Douglas J. Erwin has won an Enterprise Champion Award, it was announced recently. The Fast Tech 50 is an annual list of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the Houston area. Out of the 50 mentioned in the list, The Planet was noted for being the largest revenue producer based on its 2007 gross revenues. Mr. Erwin was recognized for his contributions to the technology industry and to the community at large.
Co-sponsored by the Houston Business Journal and CPA firm PKF Texas, the Fast Tech 50 includes companies that provide software development/services, ecommerce, hardware, technical consulting, energy-technology products, medical devices and communications. The Planet was ranked 29 in the list based on its 69% revenue growth between 2006 and 2007. To qualify for the list, companies must be located in Houston and have had more than $200,000 net revenues in both 2006 and 2007.
