Easyspace - one of the largest domain name and web hosting providers in the UK - has provided a domain name and hosting services for Petpiggies, a British company that sells "micro pigs" (small pigs that people keep as pets). Easyspace provides hosting services for the company's WordPress website, which contains hundreds of images of micro pigs alongside blogs and videos.
Petpiggies chose WordPress because, being a Content Management System (or CMS), it allows the company full control over its website content. WordPress was also chosen because it provides a wide range of plugins that the company can utilize as its services expand.
Petpiggies has a solid following on social media - a video it posted of its piglets being tickled received in excess of 800,000 YouTube views. The company will soon expand by selling "high-end merchandise" leveraging images of micro pigs taken by Paul Cocken - a top photographer.
“It’s essential for a growing business like Petpiggies to be online and to use the web to promote it," explained Easyspace's Managing Director, Sarah Haran. "While the micro pigs do the glamorous bit like posing with models from Tatler or launching a new television channel to provide great digital content for the website, we give them the online tools they need to get in front of the right audience and be successful.”
