UK managed hosting and dedicated server solutions provider RapidSwitch
RapidSwitch is offering Debian 7.0, the latest Linux distribution. Established in 1999 and part of the iomart Group PLC, the Maidenhead, Berkshire-based company operates its own data center and manages over 10,000 dedicated servers. It is now one of the first British hosting companies to offer the new Debian release.
Released on May 4, Debian 7.0 - also known as "Wheezy" - is available via RapidSwitch's entire server range. The new solution provides tools for private cloud deployment and offers multimedia codecs and front-ends that remove the necessity for third party repositories. Debian 7.0 also automatically resolves dependencies to allow both 32- and 64-bit software to be run from the same machine.
