UK2 Group Brand 100TB Adds New York City Datacenter to Network
UK2 Group brand 100TB has added a New York City-based datacenter to its network. The company, which specializes in dedicated hosting alongside cloud server and reseller options, has an office in the United States in Providence, Utah, and one in Canary Wharf, London. 100TB's new Tier 3 datacenter is located in Manhattan and offers multiple 10Gbps uplinks, redundant power sources, and the latest cooling equipment.

The SSAE 16, HIPAA, and PCI compliant center offers very high levels of performance and reaches users on the east coast of the United States, including the New York metropolitan area. To stop unauthorized access, 100TB's new center provides "multi-layer authentication", making it ideal for "mission critical servers and computer systems". It is connected to New York International Internet Exchange (NYIIX), one of the largest Internet exchanges in the world, and one which provides fiber connections across the United Sates and the Atlantic Ocean.

The center will initially underpin 100TB's Premium Network offerings but will be used to offer the company's full range of services in the near future. Other UK2 Group brands include UK2.net, WestHost, Midphase, and VPS.net.

“The launch of our third owned datacenter is a significant element within the overall investments we have been making in our hosting services infrastructure," explained UK2 Group's COO, John Morris. "With businesses becoming more and more reliant on 100% uptime and looking to maximize performance, this new datacenter is key to delivering our mission to offer customers a first-class experience.”
