Web Host UKFast in Times of London’s Best 100 Companies to Work for List

According to the newspaper, more than a third of UKFast’s staff joined in the past six months, but “already feel strongly about UKFast”, with many (88%) feeling “they can make a difference in the firm” and 90% “excited about where it is going”. A whopping 84% of staff “aren’t bored with their jobs”. The Times went on to suggest a number of reasons for staff satisfaction within the company.

In addition, 92% of the workforce suggest they “have fun with their teams” while 86% “haven’t suffered work-related stress in the past 12 months”. Newlyweds receive special treatment - an additional five day holiday. After five years’ service employees can “join the five-year club” which offers access to a range of additional benefits and a £1,000 ($1,420) bonus.
Founded in 1999, UKFast bills itself as “a major player in the UK internet hosting arena”. The company’s services include dedicated servers, managed hosting, web hosting, and Microsoft Exchange. The company has a staff of 57 with a male/female ratio 78:22. The average age of an employee is only 28 and staff turnover is only 8%. With a annual sales of £4.2m ($5.96m), the company typically pays staff £35,000+ ($49,700+).
