Web Hosting Provider Verio Offers New Virtual and Managed Hosting Servers for Its Microsoft Windows-Based Hosting Platform
December 7, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Verio (http://www.verio.com) has announced it is offering new virtual and managed hosting servers for its Microsoft Windows-based hosting platform. The company’s new service addresses a number of challenges faced by ASP.NET developers, site designers, and businesses.
Verio’s web server hosting solutions are based on the Microsoft .NET framework, Windows Server 2003, and Internet Information Services (IIS) version 6.0. According to the company the service provides a “logical growth path for shared hosting customers to a more flexible virtual or dedicated hosting server solution thanks to a shared code base and control panel.” Verio’s basic Windows hosting solutions can be upgraded to managed virtual or dedicated hosting servers “without having to cope with a technical learning curve, and without additional investments in server management or IT”.
Web Server for Windows enables users to manage websites through advanced capabilities such as sandboxing, bandwidth compression, site isolation, multiple AppPools (application pools), and resource virtualization.
