Apache 2.2.3 is installed on Linux VPS and PHP 5.1.5 supports technologies such as XML, SOAP, MySQL, and object oriented programming.
We are excited about the possibilities that Linux and open source technologies offer in terms of business enablement, and are confident it is the best solution on the market for many companies, said Heather Boyer, director of product management for Verio. Were giving businesses and developers the opportunity to test out our product for free so they can experience first-hand the power of choice and control that VPS delivers, from the extensive vinstall library of applications, to FairShare technology and root access granted to users.
According to the company, its Linux VPS solutions are ideal to meet the individual requirements of multiple businesses by partitioning the resources of a single physical server to perform like a dedicated server. Verios Linux plans are available in 10 GB, 20 GB, and 40 GB options that include unlimited email accounts and domain names, root access, and no charge on bandwidth transfers.
