May 27, 2009 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Verio Inc., the leading provider in delivering online business solutions to SMBs worldwide, including web hosting, application hosting and Software as a Service (SaaS), has announced an agreement with ePLDT, the premier information and communications technology company in the Philippines and a subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) (NYSE:PHI), to provide Verio's global hosting solutions to its small business customers.
Under the terms of the agreement, ePLDT will offer Verio's award-winning Signature Unix and Windows® hosting plans to their customers in the Philippines and throughout the region. These hosting products will be offered as stand-alone business solutions as well as bundled with ePLDT's DSL (digital subscriber line) services. The number of small business in the Philippines currently exceeds half a million and that number is expected to grow significantly over the next several years. ePLDT expects to capitalize on this growth by providing Verio's global hosting solutions and SaaS applications to both current and potential customers as part of this new product offering.
