Web Hosting and Managed Services Company VIA Networks USA Sponsors WebChallenge 2007
February 10, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Atlanta-based web hosting and managed services company VIA Networks USA (http://www.vianetworks.net) is sponsoring WebChallenge 2007 (http://www.webchallenge2007.org), the company announced recently. WebChallenge 2007 is an annual educational event organized by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). Participants will create websites based on the theme, “Entertaining the Web” and prizes include college scholarships of up to $15,000.
“WebChallenge is one of the most exciting youth events in Georgia’s technology community,” explained VIA Networks’ Managing Director, Mr. Darin Elkins. “Today’s high school students know more about designing and creating engaging and entertaining websites than many college graduates and long-time professionals.”
VIA Networks USA joins a group of leading businesses in Georgia that support Web Challenge, including SAP, The TAG Foundation, Georgia Institute of Technology, Four Spots, Webmasters International and GlobalSpeak.
“WebChallenge is a great opportunity for our youth to gain hands-on training with today’s technologies. Many of these students have the capability and desire to become tomorrow’s technology leaders.
