Video Sharing Platform Verasity and Cloud Giant Amazon Web Services Partner on Blockchain Activity
Video sharing platform Verasity and cloud giant Amazon Web Services (AWS) have partnered on Blockchain activity. Verasity, which has headquarters in London, United Kingdom, was established in 2017. The company bills itself as a “next-generation video sharing platform” and utilizes “bespoke Blockchain technology to create a new transparent economy powered by a new cryptocurrency called VERA”. The aim of Verasity’s solutions is to eliminate “fake views, bots and ad-fraud’ by decentralizing the digital ecosystem and using ‘Proof of View’ (PoV) blockchain technology to establish “accurate secure and audible audience metrics”. Verasity will utilize AWS to support its “disruptive Blockchain-enhanced video platform”.

Verasity has joined the ‘AWS Activate’ program which provides the resources required to quickly and efficiently utilize AWS’ services. AWS offers support, training and promotional credits to allow startups to focus on their core competencies. This will accelerate the compamy’s utilization of AWS’ cloud platform and its ability to develop and scale its blockchain infrastructure and architecture.

"We are thrilled to have been chosen by Amazon as a member of its AWS program and believe that Verasity's blockchain technology, which seeks to prevent fake views, eradicate bots, and limit fraudulent activity on online video platforms, is the way forward," explained Verasity’s co-founder and CEO, David Orman. "This is impeccable timing for us, as Verasity is on the cusp of significantly scaling our business, which will require a world class cloud platform to meet the demands of our user base," added a member of Verasity’s Executive Management team, Mark Ramberg. "Being invited into the AWS Activate program is a testament to the potential that the Verasity solution brings to content creators, advertisers, and viewers. We're delighted to be one of the first blockchain companies to be accepted into this program."
