.ME Registry and Web Fest are proud to host the opening of Web Fest. ME Conference, Eastern Europe’s largest Internet festival. The 2012 Web Fest. ME Conference is set to take place Sept. 22 and 23 in Budva, Montenegro.

Web Fest started as the Best Web Project Competition, a contest acknowledging both individual and collective entrepreneurial effort and encouraging web development in the region. Since the Festival began, 7,000 websites and apps have competed for the international title. More importantly, the number of applicants grows each year, putting Web Fest on the international IT conference map.

About Web Fest .ME
The first Web Fest was held in 2007 when a group of Internet enthusiasts and technology lovers highlighted the efforts of the daring souls whose successful projects were being launched on the Web. The founders of the event are ICON, a design studio from Belgrade, Agena, a prominent web agency from Serbia, and Huge Media, Internet marketing agency also based in Belgrade. The festival has consistently grown larger over the years, drawing the attention and participation of authors, artists, businessmen, educationalists, scientists and even actors. One of the biggest points of interest is the submission of new and innovative Internet projects for award consideration in multiple categories. The awards are set to be broadcast live at the event’s closing.
