Web Host 1&1 Internet Ltd. Signs RRA with Donuts Inc.
Web host 1&1 Internet Ltd. has signed a registry-registrar agreement with Donuts Inc. Donuts Inc. has made the industry’s largest number of new Top-level domain (TLD) applications and will likely offer 150+ extensions from mid-January 2014. The agreement made with the company makes these TLDs available to 1&1 customers.

With headquarters in Slough, United Kingdom, 1&1 Internet Ltd. is the British branch of German United Internet Group subsidiary, 1&1 Internet AG. Launched in 1988, the 1&1 Group caters to around 12.5 million customers globally, manages around 70,000 servers and 19 million domain names. 1&1 is ICANN accredited with agreements with VeriSign, Nominet, Afilias, NeuStar and PIR. The agreement with Donuts Inc. means 1&1 customers can pre-register its domains. Ultimately 1&1 will be able to give its customers access to all Donuts Inc. TLDs.

“This agreement is an important milestone in 1&1’s New TLD strategy,” explained1&1 Internet's CEO Hosting, Robert Hoffmann. “Over the next three years, the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) plans to release more than 700 new domain extensions and we expect to offer a significant amount of those as a registrar. The partnership with Donuts will give our eBusiness customers the ability to leverage some of the most popular new domain extensions including .BUSINESS, .EMAIL and .CONTRACTORS, to name a few. Now businesses can expand their brand and positive reputation by creating an impactful virtual address and continue to develop their domain portfolio with 1&1.”
