Web host and domain registrar GoDaddy has announced the launch of new ‘Website Security’ products. A global brand, GoDaddy has headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. Established in 1997, the company is famous for its Super Bowl advertising. GoDaddy specializes in offering SMEs and larger organizations everything they require to establish a viable web presence. Its new security products are powered by Sucuri Inc. (Sucuri) and offer customers “world-class malware removal and website protection”.

Sucuri, which has headquarters in Menifee, California, United States, was established in 2010. The company was acquired by GoDaddy in March of this year. It offers “holistic website security solutions” and its services include malware removal, malware monitoring and website protection. Its best known products are the SiteCheck website security monitoring service and the CloudProxy Firewall. Underpinned by Sucuri’s technology, GoDaddy’s Website Security “offers continuous monitoring and daily malware scanning to detect any known security holes or issues on a website”.

In the case of infection GoDaddy’s latest solution quickly removes malware. It also offers additional security through ‘Website Security Premium’ plans that offer Web Application Firewall (WAF) protection. WAF “blocks malicious traffic before it gets to the website”. Other Website Security features include Google blacklist monitoring and removal, Content Delivery Network (CDN) acceleration, and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation. Users can enjoy the protection GoDaddy's Website Security products offer at a starting cost of only $6.99 per month.
