Web Host and Domain Registrar PlanetHoster Receives ICANN Accreditation
Web host and domain registrar PlanetHoster has received ICANN accreditation. The company, which has headquarters in Quebec, Canada, is now accredited for top-level domain (TLD) name registrations. It has become the first company in the French-Canadian capital to achieve ICANN certification.

Established September 18, 1998, ICANN has headquarters in Los Angeles, California, United States. It is a non-profit body responsible for the global management of assigned domain names and is responsible for accrediting domain registrars. As an ICANN accredited registrar, the company is now registered to provide .com, .net, .org, and other domain names.

Alongside domain registration, PlanetHoster offers a range of services including shared hosting, dedicated hosting, ecommerce solutions, reseller options, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), SSL certificates and web-based email (using the Zimbra platform). Established in 2007, the company also provides website design services and caters to around 40,000 customers “using its hybrid cloud infrastructure distributed over its facilities in Montreal, Canada and Paris, France”.

"PlanetHoster is a web hosting leader in the Canadian and European market, and we take great pleasure in supporting Quebecers with our expertise," explained PlanetHoster’s COO, Mina Shenouda.
