Web host and domain registration provider
Dreamscape Networks Limited (Dreamscape Networks) is to acquire Webserver.sg. Dreamscape Networks, which has headquarters in Paya Lebar, Singapore, was established in 2013. The company has “customers numbering in the millions” and specializes in “providing simple, innovative and affordable online products and services that change lives”. It has a presence in Ukraine, Australia, and the Philippines and its customers include individual account holders right up to Fortune 500 companies. Alongside web hosting and domain registration its services extend to web design, search engine marketing, and email marketing. Dreamscape Networks acquisition of Webserver.sg will reportedly cost the company S$460,000 ($335,500).
Webserver.sg, which is also based in Singapore, started as the web hosting arm of NewMedia Express in 2003. The company offers a broad range of options including shared hosting, colocation, dedicated servers, and, like Dreamscape Networks, domain name registration options. The acquisition is made against Dreamscape Networks’ recent relocation, having moved its headquarters to Singapore. Webserver.sg, joins the company’s other brands Crazy Domains and Vodien.
“Webserver.sg is a key and strategic acquisition for Dreamscape Networks in Singapore," explained Mark Evans, the CEO of Dreamscape Networks. “Dreamscape Networks’ focus for FY19 will see more activity in South East Asia as we leverage the Vodien brand and infrastructure as well as grow the Crazy Domains brand within SEA."
