Web Host and ISP PlusNet Upgrades Web Hosting Platform and Launches Other Products

October 24, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web host and ISP PlusNet is to upgrade its web hosting platform, including its CGI platform and FrontPage, it was reported recently. Based on substantial research, the company has opted for Plesk for its upgrade, which will take place in the first half of 2009. A preview and trial of the basic elements of the new service will be available from next week.

“Using Plesk we will be able to provide a range of new hosting products, in line with our desire to provide a high quality hosting platform that is fit for all purposes”, explained a company statement. “This includes professional and business use. It will mean we can keep things up to date and maintenance will no longer be the chore it is today.”

Plusnet is also planning to launch four new products for customers on the PAYH platform. These include “Residential Options” with 250Mb Storage and 1.5Gb Data transfer per month, 1 MySQL DB, Standard Apps and community support, alongside “Business Options” with different levels of resource availability and support going up to 750Mb storage, 5Gb data transfer per month, and telephone / ticket support.
