Web host and Virtual Private Server (VPS) services provider
Hostens has announced the launch of a new Virtual Private Network (VPN) service. A division of Lithuanian company “Interneto Vizija”, Hostens has headquarters in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Established in 2017, alongside traditional web hosting services and VPS, the company offers reseller hosting, domain registration, and SSL certificates. It owns and operates a data center “built and maintained according to TIER III” international standards. Hostens suggests its latest VPN offering is “the most affordable VPN service”.
VPN services encrypt internet traffic to guard against advertising network tracking, internet providers logging the pages a customer has visited, and ultimately protect against hackers. Hostens VPN targets individuals and small businesses. It offers robust AES-256 encryption but “does not require complicated and time-consuming set-up processes“. The service is available in Europe, North America, and in Asia.
“We use plenty of various applications each day. In fact, not all of them are secure,” explained Arvydas Strausas, the CEO of Hostens. “At the end of the day, insecure browsing can end with a theft of our passwords or other personal information. Basically, the VPN service is one of the most reliable solutions to protect ourselves from it,” he concludes.
