Atlantic.Net has announced the launch of cloud server Secure Block Storage (SBS). Atlantic.Net was established in 1994 and is recognized as a “market-leading hosting provider”. The company operates data centers in the United States (New York, San Francisco, and Dallas), Canada (Toronto and Orlando) and the United Kingdom (London). Its services include HIPAA, managed, cloud, and dedicated hosting alongside ecommerce, database, disaster recovery and storage options. Secure Block Storage (SBS) allows Atlantic.Net’s customers to “attach additional storage drives to their cloud servers to scale their workloads more easily”.
Secure Block Storage (SBS) is underpinned by 99.999% availability. To ensure data is protected against component failure, the solution automatically replicates volumes. While storage can be adjusted as required, SBS is automatically encrypted “at rest” and allows users to easily move data between cloud servers. To mark the launch, Atlantic.Net is “offering 50 GB of SBS free for an entire year from the date of signup”. Beyond the 50 GB capacity, additional GBs of storage cost only 7.9 cents per month.
