Web Host GoDaddy and Ecommerce Company Shopmatic Form Partnership
November 29, 2017
Web host and domain name provider GoDaddy Inc. (GoDaddy) and ecommerce company Shopmatic have announced that they have formed a partnership. GoDaddy, which has headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States, was established in 1997. The company is a global brand with a strong ‘localization’ policy and a presence in numerous countries. Its services focus on providing smaller and medium-sized companies with the tools they need to establish an online presence via a website. GoDaddy provides hosting and domain names, and offers the tools companies need to create a website without massive investment. The company also offers strong WordPress hosting support. The partnership will mean Shopmatic merchants can “direct customers to an existing website, blog, marketplace or any social media profile with a single click”.
With headquarters in Singapore, Shopmatic provides ecommerce services that enable people to sell their products and services online. Established in 2014, the company prides itself in offering an “entire ecosystem of selling online”, supporting customers at every stage of the process - developing web stores, listing stores in market places and in social channels, and offering customers “insights on how to sell online”. GoDaddy’s customers will be able to point their domain names to a Shopmatic website and start selling online. Likewise, Shopmatic’s customers can select and purchase .net and .org domains directly from GoDaddy.
"Our strategic partnership with Shopmatic will provide merchants with a unique online address befitting their brand, thereby increasing their visibility with their customers," explained GoDaddy India’s Vice President and Managing Director, Nikhil Arora. “The alliance will allow Shopmatic merchants direct customers to an existing website, blog, marketplace or any social media profile with a single click”.
