Hosting and Designs L.L.C. has kept the price of its Virtual Private Server (VPS) plans the same for over a decade – in fact plans have been at the same price since the company began operation in 2002.
VPS provides users with capability more similar to that provided by lower end dedicated servers. Although a number of web hosting accounts share a VPS server’s resources (as they do in standard shared web hosting), a limited number of accounts are assigned to each physical server and server resources are shared amongst those accounts. In addition, resource usage is strictly monitored so one account does not draw on another’s available resources.
Hosting and Designs’ VPS plans utilize management software from SolusVM which runs on OpenVZ for virtualization, with CentOS 6.x 64Bit as the Operating System. They also offer up to 4GB RAM and 250 GB of space alongside powerful 4Ghz Central Processing Units (CPUs). VPS customers are also offered “award winning support” to help them navigate any issues they encounter.
Hosting and Designs’ VPS accounts are underpinned by the Cpanel control panel, which is the same panel used to manage its shared hosting accounts. This means that Hosting and Designs’ shared hosting customers that migrate to VPS options are quickly able to manage new VPS accounts through an interface they are familiar with. The company also offers technical support for customers wishing to migrate to dedicated server from a VPS account.
Customers looking for a new website design with their new VPs account benefit from “free WordPress designs and even installation, setup and design work for an additional one-time fee” with design work starting at $69 for a 10 page design.
