LCN has today announced the launch of a state-of-the-art email security and protection system called MailGuard. This anti-spam and virus protection solution will be added to all new LCN.com hosting packages at no cost.
Customers can access and customise their spam threshold settings and apply advanced permissions from within their LCN.com account control panel, significantly reducing spam and eliminating potential viruses from reaching their inbox.
More than 97 per cent of emails sent over the net are unsolicited or junk email, leading to huge amounts of time wasted by individuals clearing unwanted and irrelevant messages out of their inbox every day.

The MailGuard solution works by scanning all incoming email sent to a users account. Emails which have been identified as spam or containing potential viruses remain in a quarantined area for 30 days. Users can access and view captured emails through a secure area online. Emails which have not been flagged as spam or containing any potential viruses are passed directly to the users account.
