R1Soft’s Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology to offer Windows and Linux data backups as an add-on service for colocation and dedicated server clients.
With the new data protection offering, NetSource introduces customers to speedy backups that complete in just minutes and bare-metal restores that give clients a higher level of data reliability. Bare-Metal Restores allow servers to be instantly rebuilt from scratch and restored to any point-in-time snapshot. R1Soft’s easy-to-use Web interface also gives customers the ability to login and restore their own files.

R1Soft CDP is disk-based software that works by reading data at the file level and taking snapshots that only record changed data since the last backup, creating smaller backup windows and faster backups. Since implementing R1Soft, NetSource has reduced backup time from 12 hours to just minutes greatly reducing disk space and network resources.
