Web Host No Support Linux Hosting Ceases Operations after Cyber-attack
Web host ‘No Support Linux Hosting’ (NSLH) has ceased operations after a cyber-attack. The company, listed as located in Toronto, Canada, offered a full suite of hosting services. Advertising under the tagline “Not lazy. Efficient.” The company claimed that by not accepting support questions they were able to pass savings on to their customers. The company’s website now shows a statement from the company:

“On February 8, 2021, a hacker successfully compromised all the servers we use to operate our business including the No Support Linux Hosting web site, Admin section, and our customer database. We can no longer operate the No Support Linux Hosting business. All customers should immediately download backups of their websites and databases through cPanel. Thank you to all our customers for the many years of business. We appreciate it.”

The hacker breached the company’s internal systems and seemingly compromised every aspect of its business. This includes customer databases and its official website. Information about the attack is limited and whether NSLH’s customers’ details were breached or simply wiped is unknown. However, as other hosting companies have been subject to ransomware attacks and a ransom demand for a decryption key recently, several sources see a connection between the recent events.
