March 17, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Incentra Solutions today announced that its subsidiary ManagedStorage International renewed and expanded its agreement with London-based TeleCity, the leading European provider of managed data centre services, to deliver a portfolio of data protection services to its customers across Europe.
Under the expanded agreement, TeleCity will continue to provide MSI enabled backup and restore services from TeleCity's London data center with those same services now being available from additional TeleCity facilities in Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt. MSI will install and manage the additional data protection infrastructure that will enable TeleCity to provide an enhanced managed backup service to existing and new hosting customers.

from The Chartered Management Institute, IT failure remains the top cause of disruption to business continuity in the UK, yet only 51% of businesses have a disaster recovery plan in place.* Across Europe businesses are also becoming increasingly aware of the need to conform to growing regulation and compliance and an effective data back-up and restoration strategy is integral to this.
Through its relationship with MSI, TeleCity will market and sell MSI's enhanced backup and restore service through its existing sales channels as part of its managed services portfolio, offering customers a fully-managed back-up solution to their onsite and offsite data protection needs. TeleCity customers can choose a fully guaranteed service for a monthly service fee allowing them to have full control to protect and recover lost files within a simple pricing structure. This pricing structure is typically less expensive than do-it-yourself options and is based on the amount of data protected not the amount of data streamed. In addition, end-customers can monitor services by using the intuitive web-based portal, GridWorks, for managing storage environments. The application provides TeleCity customers with a single view for job status and detailed reporting to assist them in maximizing the use of storage resources.
