Further to the recent introduction of its new proprietary website builder, web host
UK2 has introduced a new service where the company actually build's customers' websites for them. UK2's "Build-it-for-you" service is designed to assist customers who "lack the time or confidence" to build a customizable website using the company's available tools. The service will be provided in conjunction with professional design company BaseKit, a UK2 partner.
BaseKit will use a customer’s Website Builder account to develop their website using their own text, images and specifications. At all stages of the development customers will be able to check the design process and offer feedback on what is required of the site. The end result is a website that meets a customer's exact specifications, and one they have full control of using UK2's proprietary builder.
UK2 is offering two levels of service: Standard and Bespoke. The Standard package offers customers five page websites customizing one of the many website builder templates available to a customer's account. The Bespoke service provides a 20 page website built from the ground up. Both services focus on SEO and making customizes websites appear in Google search results. Google Analytics is integrated with the site providing owners with the ability to gauge issues like inbound traffic and leading start pages, etc.
“This service is an improvement on hiring a traditional Web designer in a number of ways,” explained UK2's Director of Hosting Products, Sara Cunha-Rego. “Aside from the more competitive price, customers are left with a professional website that they can edit and update themselves. A website that requires coding to make edits leaves customers dependent on others when they want to make the simplest of changes! Because our Build-it-for-you service is done with the UK2 website builder, there’s no such difficulty.”
