Web Host Web Werks Revamps Network Infrastructure with Google Global Cache Servers
Web host Web Werks has revamped its network infrastructure with Google Global Cache (GGC) server installations. Established in 1996, Web Werks has headquarters in Mumbai, India. Recognized as “one of the leading data center providers in India”, Web Werks’ range of services extend to dedicated servers and VPS and cloud hosting. The company also offers colocation services, migration services, email hosting and managed firewall services through Tier III and Tier IV data centers in Mumbai, Philadelphia, Conshohocken, and Dubai. Web Werks is also a leading ICANN-accredited domain name provider. By adding Google Cache Servers to its infrastructure the company aims to enhance the Internet experience for its Indian customers.

Google Global Cache allows web hosting companies to reduced network infrastructure costs generated by providing Google content (including YouTube). It is underpinned by servers remotely managed by Google that are located in a web host’s data center. An invitation only program, with GGC added to its infrastructure Web Werks and Google will work in sync to lower latency issues and “provide content faster than usual”.

“Web Werks is among the few IT organizations that has set up Google Cache Servers in India and we take immense pride in it,” explained Web Werks’ CEO in a pressrelease. “As we have collaborated with the market giant, we anticipate to delivering additional technical solutions for our local customers. We seek to make content readily accessible for usage purpose to our vast Internet user base.”
