Web Hosting and Domain Name Provider Go Daddy Announces Mobile Component for Website Builder
Internet traffic driven by mobile devices is expected to surpass that driven by conventional devices by 2014. With that in mind, web hosting and domain name provider Go Daddy is making it easier for companies to address the mobile needs of customers. Go Daddy has launched a mobile component of its Website Builder which allows users to automatically integrate company websites and mobile sites.

Go Daddy’s new service is designed to allow non-technical people to establish mobile sites easily and effectively. Pre-built websites with existing content are created in a three-step process that creates a company website and a parallel mobile site. When content is changed in the company website, it is automatically updated in the mobile site.

The premium version of Website Builder allows users to change a mobile site’s layout, modify colors and add a range of features, including maps. It also offers SEO and social media functions, alongside a range of integrated apps.

Go Daddy’s new service expands its range of mobile compatible services and specifically targets SMBs. Its launch will see in excess of 700,000 existing Go Daddy Website Builder sites made mobile compliant, immediately making the company one of the largest mobile website hosting providers in the world.

Forget the predications – is it important for all companies to have mobile websites, or are mobile websites just for certain companies with specific products? Add your comments below.
