Canadian domain registrar and web hosting provide Sibername.com has announced it is offering ‘.eu’ domain registrations. Those wishing to obtain a ‘.eu’ domain name can pre-register a domain name through Sibername.com before April 7th 2006 when all registrations will be processed under the “Land Rush” program offered by EURid, manager of the “.eu” registry.
Sibername will only charge customers who successfully register a domain name and those wishing to protect their identities can do so by using Sibername’s UK division for registrant details.
Over 300,000 registrations were received under the ‘Sunrise’ registration program that allowed trademark holders to register an appropriate domain name. However, several million registrations are expected on April 7 immediately making ‘.eu’ domains one of the leading Top Level Domains (TLDs).
