Web Hosting Company’s MD New Appointment to Intellect Board

May 25, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Kate Craig-Wood, the Managing Director and Co-founder of dedicated web hosting company Memset (http://www.memset.com/) has joined the board of Intellect, it was announced yesterday. Intellect is the UK trade association for the IT, telecoms and electronics industries and its board is “almost entirely comprised of senior executives from the world’s most successful and most innovative hi-tech companies”. The appointment took effect May 24, 2007.

Ms. Wood, made herself available for election as she felt she could “better represent the interests of small, high-growth IT businesses and the Internet Services sector on the main board.” At 30, she is the youngest person to join the Intellect board and hopes to use her new position to “not only represent the Internet/hosting sector and interests of small IT businesses but to also use her experience in green computing to make this an issue Intellect UK champions within the industry.”

“I would like to congratulate Kate on her election to the board. It is fantastic to see more women and young entrepreneurs joining the board. Kate will add a valuable perspective that will help the board shape the direction of Intellect’s work,” explained Intellect’s Director General, John Higgins.
