Web Hosting, Domain Name and SSL Provider Bonphire Announces Range of Initiatives and Enhancements

June 21, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting, domain name and SSL provider Bonphire (http://www.bonphire.com) have announced a range of initiatives and enhancements designed to improve customer experience of their products and plans. The company has announced a new utility within its WebSite Tonight site builder application, the launch of web-based email with ‘desktop power’ and support for the Ruby on Rails framework.

Bonphire’s WebSite Tonight sitebuilder now supports a facility that allows users to automatically add content to websites through RSS feeds on a range of topics (news, weather, sports, stock prices, information from blogs, etc. ) without requiring programming skills. Aside from developments to its sitebuilder, Bonphire has also released version 4.0 of its web-based email. According to the company the new version couples “the benefits of a desktop email program with the convenience of a web-based platform”. Email accounts are “fraud, spam and virus protected, POP3-configured and advertising-free” and each offers personalized “@yourdomain.com” email addresses. The system features a unique ‘drag and drop’ functionality that enables users to quickly move email messages into folders.

The San Francisco host has also announced support for the Ruby on Rails framework through its web hosting plans. Ruby on Rails is an open-source framework which is becoming very popular amongst website developers. According to Tim O'Reilly, Founder of O'Reilly Media “Ruby on Rails is a breakthrough in lowering the barriers of entry to programming. Powerful web applications that formerly might have taken weeks or months to develop can be produced in a matter of days.”
