Web Hosting Provider 1&1 Internet Launches Online Marketing Service for Smaller Companies

September 7, 2006
September 7, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider 1&1 Internet has launched an online marketing service for smaller companies designed to enable them to compete with larger players, the company announced yesterday. The service, 1&1 Search Marketing, is powered by Yahoo Search Marketing and available through all of 1&1 Internet’s shared hosting packages.

1&1 Search Marketing offers medium-sized companies a manageable way to run sponsored search marketing campaigns on major search engine sites and popular web sites through a control panel. Users submit chosen keywords and bids and receive monthly reports on rankings and competitors' keywords. Customers are charged every month based on page impressions and choose between 1,000 or 10,000 page impressions per month depending on their package.

"Small and medium sized companies have previously struggled to achieve anything independently, as smaller budgets are most often refused by portals and high interest sites," suggested Andreas Gauger, 1&1 Chief Executive. "Although powerful, our new tools are especially suited to smaller budgets and are easy and intuitive to use."

1&1 also provides banner advertising facilities that enable advertising through the AdLink Internet Media. "We guarantee a high level of transparency [with] 1&1 Banner Advertising," added Mr. Gauger. "It offers detailed statistics about the performance of every banner campaign, such as the number of impressions and clicks and where the banner was displayed."
