November 19, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider AIT has announced a number of dealerships and partnerships with historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the United States. AIT will work with Morehouse College and other institutions in underutilized business zones with the purpose of creating IT jobs and generating investment. According to the company the dealerships will “create IT jobs and involve millions of dollars in intellectual property and infrastructure development”.
AIT and Morehouse College will bring together federal, state, and local efforts to offer technical and career development training in Atlanta, Georgia through its AIT-Atlanta dealership. Morehouse representatives will visit AIT’s headquarters this month to “further explore partnering benefits and opportunities”.
“Through the AIT Center for Entrepreneurship we plan to nurture and support the spirit of entrepreneurship/business ownership among talented young men and women in disadvantaged communities,” explained AIT’s Vice-President of Marketing/Dealership Programs. “AIT has also arranged a technical training partnership with Fayetteville Technical Community College, and opened discussions to form a similar partnership with Fayetteville State University.”
