May 17, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider AIT (http://www.AIT.com) is celebrating 10 years in the industry with a new dealership. The company has suggested the new dealership is its first one-million dollar dealership deal, a marked contrast to the $7 income generated by its first customer – a card shop in Burlington, North Carolina, USA.
"The dealership program extends beyond the traditional AIT product line, creating opportunities by bringing together the IT services and infrastructure that organizations and businesses need," says Clarence Briggs, AIT’s Chief Executive Officer.
AIT’s latest dealership is one of a number opened in recent months including dealerships in Chicago, Atlanta, and Charlotte, with the latest in Pittsburgh. The company has plans to launch another three dealerships over the next 12 months.
Since its inception AIT has evolved from a garage operation to an organization that caters for nearly 200,000 websites. "Ten years in the Internet industry speaks for itself; so many of our former competitors have long since disappeared," said Mr. Briggs. "And our growth has happened without outside investment. At times it has been difficult to ignore the siren's call of VC backing, but you always have to ask what strings come with taking someone else's money."
