November 9, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider AIT has introduced a Biometric access control system, the company announced yesterday. The system allows users to enhance their existing physical security by using an automated system that recognizes a person based on “fingerprints, retinal and iris scanning, hand and fingerprint geometry, voice patterns, facial recognition, and other techniques”.
According to the company its Biometrics system can be used to control access and facilitate time attendance control. The system provides a range of features including access management for up to 4000 people per terminal and combination of authentication types (fingerprint, PIN # and RF card).
Established in 1996 AIT has been twice been listed in the Inc. 500 list of fast growing firms, and 3 times to the Deloitte & Touche Fast 500 list.
